Is there any hope of avoiding a socialist, economy wrecking NDP government in BC?

It's nice to see the BC Conservative party shaking things up, but as a pragmatist, I'd rather not see the NDP win than to have the "conservative" vote split provincially.

I have a lot of doubts about the Liberals pulling off a win. NDP minority might be a best case. About all I can go on is previous polls getting it wrong in Alberta and Quebec when there was a three way race: the new parties support ended up fading at the end.

Are Canadian voters so used to minority governments now that there's a feint hope for one in BC?

The Liberals have shuffled their cabinet, nothing controversial, and some common sense appointments:
a doctor for Minister of Health, teacher for Minister of Education, 80 year old for Minister for Seniors etc.

They are holding an open convention with a "free enterprise Friday" as some kind of attempt to draw the fiscal conservatives back.

In BC, the NDP seems to poll well but then fade at the end. Could this happen in 2013?

On the Liberal side, about all one can hope for is more tax cuts etc. to win back conservative voters.
I have to hope the Liberals are keeping their powder dry for the election, and will come up with more announcement and start to hammer the NDP on the economy closer to the election, because otherwise nothing they're doing seems to be working.

On the Conservative side, maybe they can catch a blue wave if it really looks like the Liberals are sunk.
Or perhaps there could make more inroads in rural or even suburban ridings which are held by CPC MPs.
There have been some rapid upsets in BC before, so it could happen. Their leader John Cummins, a former Conservative MP could really use more media presence if they have any hope of this. He's made some good points especially on aboriginal title, and the party has a few good things to run on but their platform needs to be flushed out more.

At this point though, it's not looking good for the right of center voter.

I'm skeptical as well. I really just wish Christy Clark would go away. I left the BC Liberals but I don't see the Conservatives doing much either. John Cummins is a sitting duck. He doesn't seem to have his heart in winning an election. They easily could have won that bye -election in Chilliwack if they had any real drive. I feel like each party is performing week enough to allow the NDP to handily win the next election. Something big has got to give but when your leaders are the key problem its very hard to gain much ground.
